The Auvergne was once one of the most productive wine regions in France, churning out Gamay for the bistrots of Paris. After a decline the area is now on the rise again and has become a hotbed of natural winemaking. Patrick Bouju is one of the superstars of the new breed. Super B is gamay from a parcel in Brouilly in Beaujolais, vinified at Domaine de la Boheme in Saint-Georges-sur-Allier in the Auvergne. The wine is vivid and juicy with a wild streak.
