Giacomo Santoleri's Leccino, Gentile di Chieti and Intosso olive trees grow on the rocky, limestone Caprafico Plain, at the foot of the Maiella massif in Abruzzo. The oil is excellent; a good balance of spicy and bitter with strong grassy flavours, it is considered among the best in Italy. Just bottled, (November 2024) the colour is an almost impossible green and is such a treat at this time of year.
