HAMBLIN BREAD
Hamblin Bread was opened in October 2018 by Hugo Thurston and Kate Hamblin. We are a neighbourhood bakery in the traditional sense but radical at heart; all our bread is made with stone ground flour from organic wheat and rye, all grown within fifty miles of the bakery. We buy direct from the farmer and our grain is milled to order on 300 year-old stones by David Howell in Staffordshire. We also use this flour to make a range of buns, sweet items and pizza. Over the last couple of years we have built relationships with some of the best producers and suppliers in the country and now stock farmhouse cheeses, cured meat and fish, fresh fruit and vegetables and the largest range of natural, organic and biodynamic wines in Oxford.
