It's hard to overstate the superb value that this wine represents. "Briords" refers to a single vineyard or lieu-dit of old vines of between 70 and 90 years age. Hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel, the wine is bottled unfiltered after a long ageing on the lees (dead yeast cells). This wine could comfortably age for decades, preserving its elegant structure, but is delicious right now, with a restrained palate of white fruits and citrus and a superb stony, iodine-y minerality.
