Guimaro meams 'rebel' in local dialect. Cultivated since Roman times, the steep terraced vineyards are some of the most spectacularly picturesque and treacherous to work in the world of wine. The wines of the region have sometimes been compared to Burgundy and this certainly holds for the Cepas Viejas which is rich and textured with notes of pear and almond.
