Fruit from a single vineyard planted with old vines of this ancient variety of Syrah, now largely superceded by modern, more productive to each clones. The Petite Syrah is said to produce more complex aromatics, and they're certainly on show here. The cool 2021 vintage has resulted in a lifted, very approachable style, with plenty of savoury notes of olive and pepper underpinned by red fruit, supple tannins and good acidity.
