A family domaine founded in 1900, Gour de Chaule is in the heart of the village of Gigondas. Winemaking is decidedly old-school; whole bunch fermentation in concrete, two years elevage in old oak foudres. The wine is powerful but elegant and harmonious, floral and spicy with very pure red fruit and silky tannins.
